Rylies first night with us...

On Rylies first night at our home she had a sleepover with her friend Mikensee Funk who, along with her mother Rachele, was instrumental in her coming to our home. They rehearsed and performed a "show" for us. It was very cute and little did we know that it was the first of many to come. Rylie is definatly a drama queen in every way!

Mitch and I went to Baja Mexico on our honeymoon and this is my favorite picture taken by Mitches mother durring our visit there. The 1st 2 nights were spent in Anaheim California where we went to Disneyland (which, by the way is the happpiest place on earth and one of my most favorite places, on a non crouded day) with Mitches siblings and cousin and their families. We then drove down the pacific side of Baja to a small resort just south of Ensenada. Two days later Mitch's mother and her boyfreind Eddie joined us with the plan that we would continue down the coast to camp and watch the whales migrate north for the summer. Unfortunately I got very sick before we had the chance to leave and spent the rest of our stay in Mexico in our hotel room, while my husband hung out with his mom and Eddie. I know very romantic. What can I say I never was one to do things the traditional way... I still wonder sometimes how Mitch really felt about his lonely honeymoon, at least he had a great view of the ocean from our room.

The long awaited day has finally arived...Rylie got her braces. Now as a child this would not have been an exciting moment for me, so I don't quite understand the enthusiasm of having metal affixed into ones mouth! But...she is ecstatic about it. She has all of the rubberband colors picked out for every month of the year (including holidays). These pictures are of her pink and black bands that she chose to match her halloween costume ??? Is she really this close to becoming a teenager? Am I ready for this next step?

Last October, after several months looking at websites for dogs, Rylie found her new baby , Dash...now the funny part is that Mitch said no not right now and one day I got mad at him and took Rylie to go get Dash. After being angry about it for a short time, Mitch fell in love with the dog as did Rylie and then the dog fell in love with me...he follows me every where and even sleeps with me. He is suppose to be Rylie's dog but he has adopted me much to my dog, Chuey's, dismay. To Dash's defense, he was only copying every thing that Chuey did and so I guess he thought he was suppose to be my dog along with Chuey....moral of the story is don't do something in ire, it may come back and bite you in the butt.
This is Rylie the first month last summer she came to live with us

So here I am at my first attempt to BLOG. Those who know me, know that this will be a challange in more than one way.
